Baked Trout with Lemon Sauce

If you are both an avid RV camper and angler, this recipe will appeal to you.

Not only it is simple, but flavourful with fresh-squeezed lemon and fresh-cracked peppercorns.

Use your next catch for this recipe and bake it over your campfire or BBQ!

Ingredients

🐟 2 filets of your catch of the day

🐟 ¼ teaspoon salt, to taste

🐟 ¼ teaspoon black pepper, to taste

🐟 ½ cup chopped fresh parsley

For the lemon sauce:

🍋 ¼ cup butter or vegan butter, melted

🍋 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

🍋 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

✔️ Preheat your BBQ to 375 degrees F or start your campfire. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminium foil.

✔️ Place your filets on the foil. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the green onions and parsley over the top.

✔️ Combine the melted butter, lemon juice and garlic in a small bowl. Mix well.

✔️ Place the filets on the BBQ or over the campfire. Bake for 20 or 30 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

✔️ Baste the fish with the lemon sauce several times while it bakes.

✔️ Serve the fish drizzled with any remaining sauce.
